ADR Report Says Newly Elected Karnataka MLAs Are Crorepatis
All we knew that this time Karnataka Election has created a lot of buzz across the country after the final announcement of the result it put check to many rumors. Durning the elections both parties have to spend black money to win the elections. Regarding this Association for Democratic Reforms(ADR) has released a report on the assets of newly elected MLA. In the ADR report, 215 MLA’s are crorepatis out of 221 MLA’s. On average, each MLA has Rs 35 crore which is more than 11 crore over 2013 elected MLA’s. ADR said the report was released based on the affidavit of the election commission.
Congress MLAs are in Top 10:
In fact, in ten richest lists, seven MLAs belong to the Congress party. Hoskote MLA Nagarajan is in the top position with a fortune of Rs 1015 crores while Deeke Shivakumar is second with Rs 840 crores. Suresh BS has assets worth Rs 416 crore.
Congress is the first place :
The Congress is the top party with the highest number of crorepatis MLAs among the newly elected legislators. The ADR, which represents 99 percent of the Congress MLAs as crorepatis, has an average MLA of Rs 60 crore. The BJP is second with 98 percent of the crorepatis MLAs. However, the value of these assets is lower than the Congress party MLAs (Rs 17 crores).
JDS .. 95 percent .. 24 crores
The JDS, who won more MLAs than expected and has 24 crores wealth but it reached third place with 95 percent MLA’s.
In criminal cases too.
According to the affidavit reports, the EC, 35% of the 221 MLAs have criminal cases, said ADR. The BJP has 41 percent MLAs while JDS and Congress have 30 percent.
