AP FiberGrid: Monthly Rs. 149/- only
Amaravati: Fiber grid connectivity to every household and enterprises at a nominal price is going to become a reality as President Ram Nath Kovind launched the AP Fiber Grid project here on December 27.
Provides rapid connectivity to every household and enterprises at a nominal price. Television, rental free telephone and internet facility (15 Mbps) will be provided to every household under Fiber Grid. About 1.3 crore households, 50,000 schools, 10,000 govt offices and 5,000 public health centers will be connected under the project
AP Fiber Grid has been set up with a high-speed aerial Optical Fiber Cable spreading across over 23,800 km across the 13 districts in the State and connecting 2,464 substations.
The fiber provides triple play services – television (350+ channels), telephone (rental free) and internet (15 Mbps and 100 Mbps) – to households and enterprises at a monthly affordable price of Rs 149 and Rs 999 respectively.
APSFL Chief Financial Officer Velpuri Venu told, India that 1,10,367 households and 3,246 enterprise connections have been completed across 13 districts so far.
Fiber Grid phase-2: As part of BharatNet – phase 2, APSFL proposes to connect all the 12,927-gram panchayats in AP with 670 block level PoPs (point of presence) being planned at BSNL exchanges and the project is targeted for March 2019 under fiber grid phase-2.
