Aussie blitz sets new world record
The new record was created in international T20 cricket. Australia has created history by scoring the highest run target against New Zealand in International T20 cricket. In the T20 match between New Zealand and Australia at Aklanda. New Zealand won the toss and selected to bat first and scored 243 runs for six wickets. After that Australia chased the target of 244 runs by losing five wickets and with seven balls remaining. Totally Aussies scored 245 runs. Short scored 76 run in Australia’s innings, Warner 59, Finch 36, Maxwell 31, and Lin 18 added their valuable score to scoreboard. With this victory, Aussie scored the highest run-score in the T20s.
So far this record is named after the West Indies. Windies in the T20 against South Africa in Johannesburg in January 2015 chased the score of 231-run target in 19.2 overs. Windies scored 236 runs by losing 6 wickets in this match. Now this record is overcame by Aussie. India is fourth in the list. In 2009, India scored 206 runs against Sri Lanka in Mohali match. India scored 211 runs for the loss of 4 wickets after Srilanka kept a target of 206 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
