Coca Cola to make alcoholic drink after more than 130 years
Coca-Cola (in the history of 125 years) is the company’s first ready to introduce alcoholic drinks. Chu-hi candied flavored drinks made from Japan are sold well in the localized spirit. Coca-Cola took this decision. This drink can have 3 to 8 percent alcohol. These are called alcopop. Young people tend to be more likely to be able to drink alkopop drinks easily. Hence, there is opposition in Japan on such drinks.
“In the past we have never experimented with this in the alcohol department. But this is a good way to get opportunities in new areas, “said George Garduno, President of Japan, Coca-Cola. But in Japan there is a lot of demand for these drinks. These drinks are sold as alternatives to beer. Japanese women are very interested in it.
