Flipkart Logistics Park, 20,000 Job Openings
Bangalore: In the recent past, the logistics sector has been growing rapidly in India. The Government announced that it will set up 35 multi-level logistics parks across the country. The latest e-commerce giant Flipkart also plans to set up Flipkart Logistics Park in Karnataka. It will be constructed at an area of 4.5 million sq ft. The flipkart is also going to buy 100 acres of land in Bangalore suburbs.
We are going to invest hundreds of millions in the project, thus cutting costs and improving delivery capacity, “said Amitesh Jha, head of Flipkart Logistic e kart. Logistics is important for any e-commerce business. After the project is in place, their logistics costs will be reduced by 20 per cent and delivery time will be reduced by 50 per cent.
Besides, the project will also provide employment opportunities, directly 5,000 jobs and 15,000 jobs indirectly. Apart from attracting new investments, rural development through construction and connectivity is also undertaken. The company aims to complete the first phase of the project by Flipkart 2019. soon the World largest retailer Walmart will invest heavily on Flipkart.
