ICC proposes a change in Champions Trophy In a T20 format
The International Cricket Council (ICC) plans to organize a championship trophy of 2021 in the T20 format. The ICC’s idea is that it will be more profitable if the tournament is played in T20 matches than the one-day format. On the other hand, if the tax exemption from the central government does not come up.

But the ICC wants to discuss the BCCI with the Central Govt. and take a positive decision. If the Indian government does not get a positive decision, the ICC will work on the issue of other countries. There is an opportunity to run championship in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, which is in India’s time zone.
Tax exemptions Issues
Thus, the star network paid 10 percent of the revenue received by media rights to the government. On the other hand, the ICC has been disappointed over the taxes exemption for Fifa Unde-17 World Cup, which has the tax exemption for India last year.

Earlier, the central government is giving taxes exemption to ICC-run tournaments. The 2011 World Cup was a tax exemption for the World Cup but refused to give tax exemption for the T20 World Cup in 2016. The ICC and the Tournament Star Network have repeatedly appealed to the Central Govt. and refused.
