One another behind …
4 wickets at 51 for the end of Powerplay … This shows the Sunrisers Hyderabad innings. In the first over, Jasprit Bumrah seemed to be getting started with two fours hitting Williamson. Mitchell McClenaghan smashed Hyderabad off Shikhar Dhawan (5) and Saha (0) with two balls. Another key batsman Manish Pandey (16) failed in the match. Shakeeb (2) was back out of the run as soon as he had a co-ordination with Williamson. Mitchell McClenaghan called Shakeeb for the Williamson single to play short ball midwicket and then declined. Surya Kumar’s direct throw shattered the wickets before Shakeeb went back. Hardy finished the Williamson innings with some fine shots … Nabi (14), Rashid Khan (6) and Basil Thampi (3) were playing for the first time in the season. At the end of the match, Pathan was the second lowest scorer in the IPL when it did not play well. Sun squad could not hit a four-wicket haul of 34 balls before being hit by a single six in the Pathan Innings for the 19th over.
Except Surya Kumar …
The Mumbai innings also started with a low score. Sunrisers have not been bowled by Mumbai in the absence of Bhuvneshwar. Mumbai lost three lead wickets in nine runs. After losing three wickets, Evin Lewis (5), Ishan Kishan
(0) and skipper Rohit Sharma (2), the Mumbai batsmen were at 21/3. At this stage, Surya Kumar tried to keep the Krunal team. Surya Kumar survived in the crease and in the Kaul over, three fours were hit by Krunal. Rashid Khan, however, sent him back to LB with a fine ball after a 40-run fourth-wicket partnership. Kieron Pollard (9) pulled out of the poor shot and the pressure on Mumbai grew. The situation was shattered when Basil Thampi pulled out the hope of Surya Kumar. Hardik Pandya (3) was unable to do anything and Mumbai lost.
Shakib was the fifth bowler to take 300 wickets in T20 cricket. Previously Sunil Narine, Bravo, Afridi, Lasith Malinga achieved the feat.
