Judge promises Lalu Prasad ‘Chura-Dahi’ in jail on Makar Sankranti
Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav was jailed for three and half years and fined him Rs 10 lakh after holding him guilty in a fodder scam case. CBI Judge Shivpal Singh has allowed only three times to meet Lalu in Jail. On Wednesday, Lalu asked the judge to rethink about the matter.
“Sir, Makar Sankranti is round the corner. How would I eat Chura Dahi in jail,” Yadav told the judge in a lighter vein. Singh, who sentenced him to jail in the Deoghar case, told Yadav that he will direct the jail authority to make suitable arrangements in this regard, those present in the courtroom said.
For this Lalu replied that “I am also a Lawyer. My name also registered in Supreme Court, and High courts as an advocate. You also said verdict will be given by considering my health. But Lalu has been jailed for 3.5 years’.
This is Shivpal’s response, “But you have not submitted the registration number. That is why I punished you for 3.5 years.”
This is the eighth time that Lalu Prasad imprisoned in fodder scam case. Lalu is currently in Jharkhand Open Jail in Hazaribagh area.
