Nawaz Sharif barred from contesting elections
Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif faced backlash by SC. The Supreme Court passed orders that he should not participate in the elections for a lifetime. According to reports, under the Article 62 (1) of the Constitution, the jurisdiction was issued by the Supreme Court of India. The court said the court ruled that the demands for disrespect in the democratic system are necessary. Have a look at this video.

Along with Nawaz Sharif, Pakistani Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Jahangir Tharinpana has been disqualified from contesting any election. A five-member bench headed by Chief Justice Just as Sahib Nisar issued this verdict. On July 28 last year, the Supreme Court of Pakistan, comprising five judges headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, denied Nawaz’s disqualification as he had not disclosed the details of his allegations against Panama papers. He left the post of Prime Minister. The court ruled that Pakistan’s former prime minister’s life should not compete in the elections as per latest orders
